Bowling Efficiency helps Australia rout Pakistan
The Australian bowlers put together an extremely impressive performance to complete a thumping victory over Pakistan in the second ODI.

Pakistan were beaten by a comprehensive 140 run margin in the second match of the 5-ODI series at Sydney which hands the host a 2-0 lead in the series.
After being put into bat, Australia got off to a delightful start in the Quick start overs with Shane Watson’s half century at the top of the order. They had raced away to 91/0 at the end of 15 overs and were looking good to get 300 or more. It needed the spin combination of Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal to pull things back through the middle overs as they dried up the runs which eventually got them some much needed wickets. But Pakistan failed to drive the advantage home and the centurion from the first game, Cameron White came back to haunt them with a well paced half century to his name that helped Australia to a respectable position. Brad Haddin struck some lusty blows towards the end as they finished with 267 in the 50 overs.
The hosts carried the momentum from their batting performance onto the field. They pushed Pakistan onto the back-foot right from the start with two wickets inside the first five overs. The bowlers kept hitting the right areas which gave the batsmen very few scoring opportunities and they were rewarded handsomely for their efforts. Pakistan had lost half their side at the 20 over mark with only 49 runs on the board and the game was well beyond them from that point. Mohammad Yousuf scored a half century but it counted for nothing as they were eventually bowled out for an embarrassing total of 127 in 37.3 overs. The home team attained a combined Bowling Efficiency of 443 at the end.
Shane Watson was adjudged Man of the Match for his all round performance.
